Differentiation can feel overwhelming at times. So can teaching students to understand argumentative texts. But with this resource, I can help with both. This set of differentiated reading passages is a great resource to use if you are teaching your students to understand the various aspects of argumentative texts: author’s claim, counterclaim, reasons and evidence, etc.
Each text included in this set is written at three different reading levels (see levels below) so regardless of the grade you are teaching, you can give your students the level that will best meet their instructional needs. This way, you can be confident they can read the text and really focus on the comprehension skill you want them to practice… in this case, understanding argumentative texts.
