This bundle has so many great resources for teaching students to read and write poetry. You could use them all for your Poetry Unit, or you could incorporate them throughout the entire year.
- Poem of the Week – Poem of the week is a super quick and easy way to teach poetry. This weekly routine focuses on helping students improve their reading fluency and reading comprehension. Each day students will complete a “bite-sized” task that will help them dig deep into the poem. They will learn how to analyze word choice, visualize the poem, summarize the poem, and even compare and contrast the poem to an additional text on the same topic as the poem.
